WELCOME

Welcome to the Pinecones Netball Club Inc. We cater for players from the age of 7 upwards. Pinecones is affiliated with the Pine Rivers Netball Association (PRNA) and trains and plays at the Les Hughes Sports Complex, Francis Road, Lawnton.

Our club is small and family oriented, focussing on ensuring our players have the skills to enable them to enjoy and play netball to the best of their ability. Being small, we are able to monitor the progress of all our players through the strong coaching framework dedicated to developing our players. Our coaches have accreditation under the Netball Australia framework, and many of our coaches are current or past representative coaches.

Our club's success speaks for itself. Over the past five years, the club has successfully qualified at least six teams to the semi-finals and has won many premierships over this time. In season 2011, the club had two teams contesting Division 1 with team 1 coming runners up after securing the title for the past four years. Six of the girls who play in this team commenced netball with Pinecones as 8 year olds. No other club has won four consecutive Division 1 premierships in the history of the PRNA.

In addition, many of our players have become representative players for PRNA; Queensland; and Australia. In season 2012, the club has over 30 representative players.

The club is also dedicated to encouraging our players to undertake umpiring duties and through our very dedicated umpiring convenor; we have a high rate of players becoming qualified umpires. This allows our players another avenue to give something back to their chosen sport of netball. We hope you enjoy our website and look forward to you joining our small but friendly club.
